Cubano, 2 years

Cubano is a stunning 2-year-old boy with a gentle heart and a quiet, loyal nature.

He arrived at the rescue centre last October, ready for a new chapter in his life. At first, Cubano seemed to settle quite well. He was not overly fearful, quickly made friends, and showed himself to be very social with the other dogs. However, after a few weeks, it became clear that shelter life was affecting him. Although he was eating well, he continued to lose weight and was not truly happy in that environment.

With months of care, patience, and support, Cubano has regained strength and reached a much healthier weight. He is doing much better now, though he would still benefit from gaining another 2 to 3 kilos to be in ideal condition.

Cubano can be a little reserved at first with people or situations he does not know. With time, patience, and gentle reassurance, his sweet personality begins to shine through. Once he feels safe, he shows himself to be a loving and loyal companion.

He walks very well on the leash, especially in calm and quiet surroundings where he feels secure. Cubano is also very social with other dogs, both males and females, and he truly enjoys canine company.

Cubano is fully ready to travel. He is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, has his European passport, and has tested negative for the most common Mediterranean diseases.
