Lola, 5 years

Lola is a gentle, medium-sized girl with a calm, steady nature. She is social with other dogs and settles well in a group. With people she knows (including volunteers), she is fine and relaxed. With new people, Lola may be a little distant at first — not scared, just aware and observant. Give her time, don’t push her, and she warms up nicely.

Lola is tested negative for Mediterranean diseases. At mealtimes she can be a little dominant around food, so she benefits from calm, clear boundaries during feeding.

Lola’s story is especially touching: she arrived pregnant from the perrera in Badajoz, and she’s been in the shelter a long time. All of her puppies have now left… and Lola is still waiting, quietly becoming “invisible.”
