Royale, 4 years

Royale is a handsome 4-year-old boy who has been at the rescue centre for around seven months.

He was surrendered by his owner, a hunter, because he did not fit the expected image of a hunting dog. When Royale first arrived, he was frightened, insecure, and unsure of the world around him. He was not very social and mostly wanted to be left alone.

Those first months were difficult for him. Although he had a good appetite, he struggled to gain weight, and the team worked hard to help him recover both physically and emotionally.

Today, Royale is finally in a much better place. He is healthy, at a good weight, and enjoys the company of the other dogs. He is still a little cautious around people, but he is making steady progress. With patience, kindness, and gentle reassurance, Royale is slowly learning that people can be safe and loving.

Royale is looking for a calm, understanding family who will give him the time he needs to build trust at his own pace. He needs a home where he can feel secure, continue to heal, and finally discover what it means to truly belong.

Royale is fully ready to travel. He is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, has his European pet passport, and has tested negative for the most common Mediterranean diseases.
